Cal E. Cumpstone has been practicing criminal law since 2017. He graduated from The Cleveland-Marshall School of Law, Summa Cum Laude, and was an Editor of the Cleveland State Law Review. As a member of the Law Review, his article on Criminal and constitutional Law was selected for publication: Game of Phones: The Fourth Amendment Implications of Real-Time Cell Phone Tracking, 65 Clev. St. L. Rev. 75(2017). That publication has been cited as persuasive authority by a number of courts including the Indiana Supreme Court.

Cal is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys and has been personally trained by both Mark B. Marein, and Steven L. Bradley, tho Ohio Super Lawyers. Since passing the Ohio bar exam, Cal has drafted a number of successful pre-trial motions suppressing evidence, most recently in a federal firearms case. Cal has tried both misdemeanor and felony jury trials. Cal represents the bright and shining star of the future of criminal defense in Cleveland, Ohio.
